A private plane crashed at the Imperial War Museum airfield in front of visitors.
Witnesses claim firefighters performed CPR on a person close to the crash at Duxford Airfield in Cambridgeshire shortly after 1.40pm yesterday.
A group of schoolchildren were visiting the museum and witnessed the crash, The Telegraph reports.
Witness Kate Moore was at Duxford with her husband when the place crashed.
She said: ‘While we were outside, we heard a bang and turned to see plumes of smoke.
‘We were a long way away and many others there hadn’t an idea anything had occurred. I only saw the crash post-impact.’
A spokesperson from IWM Duxford said: ‘The emergency services are onsite at IWM Duxford responding to an incident involving a private aircraft.
‘We have no further information at this time.
‘IWM Duxford will remain closed to visitors on Wednesday and Thursday. We are expecting to reopen to the public on Friday.’

Cambridge Fire and Rescue Service said: ‘Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service was called at 1.41pm to a report of a plane crash at Duxford airfield.
‘Four fire engines and a water carrier attended the incident. Crews assisted other emergency services and carried out scene safety and left the scene around 4pm.’
Cambridgeshire Police said: ‘We were informed at 13:41 GMT of a plane crash at Duxford Airfield.
‘Officers from all emergency services are currently on the scene.’
