The moment a pair of burglars broke into a home in broad daylight and made off with expensive watches has been caught on the homeowner’s doorbell camera.

The two thieves, wearing all black, brazenly walked up to the home in Shirley, West Midlands, at around 3.10pm on March 11.

And within minutes they ran away after stealing luxury watches, four kilos of coins, a wallet, and aftershave.

Glass could be heard shattering from inside the house as one of the thieves stood watch at the front door.

Homeowner Jo Darby says it was pure luck that the burglars were able to enter his home unchallenged, as his son – who should have arrived home from school already – had been running late.

Mr Darby told MailOnline: ‘They need to be stopped. They must smell nice because they took Jacobs and Jean Paul Gaultier.

‘I’m still finding other random stuff missing now. My son should have been home. He was late from college and got back about ten minutes after they left.’

He believes another home was targeted by the same pair: ‘I have been contacted by another person who said they matched the description of the people who stole jewellery and her late dad’s car.

‘They had only kept the car because of sentimental reasons. A person’s home is their castle. A safe place, to be with family and friends. They need to be found.’
