Greggs has been forced to shut stores across the country this morning after becoming the latest major chain to suffer an apparent IT glitch, customers have claimed.
Hungry commuters have taken to social media to moan about not being able to get their morning pastry and coffee fix due to a ‘problem with the chain’s tills’.
It comes after McDonald’s, Sainsbury’s, Argos, and Tesco all suffered huge tech issues over the past week.
A customer posted on X: ‘Hey, why are all the Greggs stores shut in Cardiff with temporarily closed signs on, but staff are inside baking? What time will they be open today?’
Another wrote: ‘Why are all of the stores in Newcastle city centre closed?’ while a third added: ‘Greggs closed in Manchester, this could cause a riot.’
