A search has been launched for two 13-year-old girls who went missing after leaving a coastal town.

Ruby and Lacey left St Leonards on Sea in East Sussex on Sunday when they were reported missing.

They were last seen roughly 60 miles away in Stockwell, south London, at around 4.30pm today.

Ruby is about 5’5 tall, of medium build, with long curly brown hair. She was last seen wearing a white tracksuit.

Lacey is about 5’4″, of slim build, with long curly blonde hair and was last seen dressed in all black.

Metropolitan Police Detective Sergeant Julie Morrow added: ‘It is important that we find these two girls as due to their young age, they are vulnerable.

‘I hope to find them both safe and well.’
