Man shot in neck with crossbow days after woman was targeted

A man has been rushed to hospital after being shot in the neck by a crossbow in Shoreditch, London.

A man in his 20s suffered a neck injury at Arnold Circus at around 7.30pm yesterday.

It’s thought he was hit by a dart fired from a crossbow.

He was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.

The attack comes just days after a woman in her 40s was also injured with what police believe to be a crossbow in Club Row, Shoreditch.

Police are investigating if there are any links between the attacks but there have been no arrests.

A Met Police spokesperson said: ‘We were called at 7.27pm on Thursday, March 14, to reports of a man found injured in Arnold Circus, E2. Officers responded and were on the scene within two minutes.

‘They found a man in his 20s with a neck injury. He was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.

‘Initial enquiries suggest the man may have been struck by a crossbow dart. An investigation is under way and further enquiries are taking place.’
