A man was fatally knifed in an apparent ‘targeted attack’ in the early hours of this morning.
Police were alerted by the ambulance service at 5.19am to a victim injured in Cambridge.
He was pronounced dead at 6.10am after the incident in Carlton Way.
Police have now launched a murder investigation and the killer is still at large with no-one yet arrested.
Detective Chief Inspector Katie Dounias said: ‘While we are unable to confirm the cause of death until a post-mortem examination has been conducted, we believe the man was stabbed in a targeted attack.

‘We are following several leads and carrying out enquiries to find those responsible, however no arrests have yet been made.’
Carlton Way is in the north of the university city.
‘We would appeal to anyone who was in the area in the early hours of this morning or anyone with information to get in touch with us as a matter of urgency.’
