Three people have been charged over the death of a toddler in North Wales during the pandemic.
Ethan Ives, two, was taken to hospital from his home in Garden City in August 2021, but could not be saved.
Detectives have now charged Michael Ives, 46, and Kerry Ives, 45, both of Garden City, with murder.
They were also charged with allowing a child to suffer serious physical harm, and assault/ill treatment/neglect/abandonment of a child to cause unnecessary suffering/injury.
Shannon Kayleigh Ives, 27, from Mold, was additionally charged with causing or allowing a child to suffer serious physical harm, and causing the assault/ill treatment/neglect/abandonment of a child to cause unnecessary suffering/injury.
Michael and Kerry Ives appeared before Wrexham Magistrates yesterday afternoon and were remanded in custody to appear in crown court tomorrow.
Shannon Ives was bailed to appear in court again on April 4.
