An urgent search was launched for a 13-year-old girl who is missing from her home in Wales.

More than 36 hours have passed since teenager Sooki, whose last name has not been released, was last seen at her home in the town of Llanelli.

She was last spotted in the Drefach area of Llanelli on Saturday evening, but there has been no trace of her since.

Police released her picture in an appeal to members of the public to look out for her.

Sooki was described as being around 5ft tall, of a small build, and with bleached blonde/ginger hair.

She was last seen wearing black leggings, a black top, a black coat, a dark grey or black beanie hat, and grey Converse trainers.

Officers say it is thought the schoolgirl is travelling using buses or trains and that she has links to Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion as well as across south Wales.

They are appealing for anyone with information on Sooki’s whereabouts to come forward.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: ‘Have you seen 13-year-old Sooki? She has been reported missing from the Drefach area of Llanelli since last night, Saturday March 2, 2024.

‘We believe she’s travelling using buses or trains and has links in the South Wales, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion areas.

‘Have you seen Sooki or do you have information that might help us find her? Please let us know.’
