Vladimir Putin’s spokesperson has accused Britain for being ‘directly involved’ in the war in Ukraine, reviving fears of World War Three.

Like many Western allies, UK weapons has been flowing in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion –  with £7.1 billion pledged for military assistance.

In the last 24 hours, it was revealed that the UK has been helping Ukraine with its battle plans against Russia.

This has led to Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Kremlin, to make the chilling comments.

‘In general, it’s no secret that the British really provide different forms of support [to Ukraine],’ he told RTVI.

‘And people on the spot, and intelligence, and so on and so forth. That is, they are actually directly involved in this conflict.’

It comes after Sir Tony Radakin announced that he is postponing his retirement as chief of the defence staff by a year to continue offering advice to Volodymyr Zelensky.
