President Joe Biden joked about the results of an unexpected annual physical examination he took amid concerns about his age and fitness to serve another term.

Biden said that doctors ‘think I look to young’ after taking a two-and-a-half-hour-long physical at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Wednesday morning.

‘I’m alright, everything is squared away,’ the president told reporters.

‘No, there is nothing different than last year.’

His physical did not include a cognitive test, which many Republicans have been calling him to do.

Biden’s physician, Dr Kevin O’Connor, stated in a six-page memo that the president ‘continues to be fit for duty’.

‘President Biden is a healthy, active, robust, 81-year-old male who remains fit to successfully execute the duties of the presidency,’ wrote O’Connor.
