Ukraine destroyed yet another high-tech Russian bomber after downing seven fighter jets in a week.
If Russia thought it was having a better week in the skies after dodging Ukrainian air defence systems on Monday, it’s fast finding out it was wrong.
Commander Mykola Oleschuk said: ‘One more minus Su-34 in the eastern direction in the Ukrainian Air Force’s official Telegram channel shortly after 9am today.
The lieutenant general said: ‘Yesterday Russian pilots managed to evade our missiles, but this will not always be the case.
‘That’s why I advise the occupiers to see their relatives before each departure just in case.
‘Because who knows if he will be lucky or not this time.’
Ukraine claimed to have shot down a second Su-34 fighter jet around 2pm on Tuesday.
Taking to Telegram, Oleschuk declared ‘Russia should think, at least for some time, to stop airborne meat assaults’
Each of the Soviet-origin Su-34 jets costs an estimated £40 million, making each loss of the twin-engine, two-seat aircraft an expensive loss for the Russian military.
