Woman stabbed in back and left with broken arm in fight outside betting shop

A woman has been left with a broken arm after being stabbed in the back outside a betting shop in Slough, Berkshire.

A ‘fight involving a number of people’ erupted outside the BetFred along the High Street between 6.30pm and 7.45pm yesterday.

Among the other ‘serious injuries’ she suffered, the woman in her 40s sustained a broken arm and facial injuries following the scuffle.

She was taken to a local hospital for treatment where she remains tonight.

Three men have been arrested in connection with the stabbing and remain in custody.

Thames Valley Police have asked for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Tom Harman, based at Slough police station, said: ‘This was a very serious assault which has left a woman requiring hospital treatment.

‘We have made three arrests but our investigation is continuing and I would like to appeal to anyone who can help us to come forward.

‘If you saw this happen, or if you have any other information at all which you think could be relevant, please get in touch as soon as possible.’
