Winner of the APC governorship primary, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has appealed to his opponents to unite and work towards taking over power in the state.
The senator representing Edo Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly emerged the APC governorship candidate in a rescheduled primary election presided over by the Rivers State governor.
In a statement titled, “ Gratitude and Unity” signed by his director, media & publicity, Godswill Inegbe, he thanked Edo leaders and members of his party for the victory.

“No doubt, the road ahead will be challenging, but with the unwavering support and contributions of every member of our great party and the goodwill of the vast majority of Edo people, we’ll certainly emerge victorious in the main election.
“As we begin our collective march toward a new Edo of our shared dreams and aspirations, I want to profusely thank Edolites for their support and the sporadic shouts and celebrations across the state, that greeted the declaration of Senator Monday Okpebholo Akpakomiza as governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State,” he said.
