Iconic rock band Kings of Leon will be entertaining the crowd as headliners at BST Hyde Park this summer as part of an epic return that includes a new album and tour.
The group are set to perform at the summertime festival on Sunday June 30, alongside special guests Paolo Nutini and The Vaccines.
Tennessee brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill, and their cousin Matthew Followill, who formed Kings of Leon back in 1999, last performed in London back in summer 2022 with two gigs at the O2 Arena.
The band also did a special stop-off last May at none other than Wrexham AFC’s Racecourse Ground for a two-date engagement arranged courtesy of the team’s starry owners, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
‘We can’t wait to get back to London and play at BST this summer. It is always a blast to play in the UK and we are ready to have some fun,’ the band said of their return, having previously headlined BST Summertime in 2017.
Alongside delighting the audience with previous hits including Sex on Fire and Use Somebody, the rockers will also be armed with plenty of new musical material.

Their ninth album – and first since 2021’s When You See Yourself – Can We Please Have Fun, is dropping just seven weeks prior as they revealed they’d signed with Capitol Records.
Kings of Leon shared lead single Mustang on Thursday night, as they teased a return to their gritty origins as well as experimenting with their sound on the 12-track album.
They have teamed up with producer Kid Harpoon – a collaborator of Harry Styles and Miley Cyrus – for the first time on this new record, as they aim for what could be a seventh UK number one album.
Their associated world tour kicks off at BST Hyde Park before heading to North America for a string of 26 dates throughout August, September and October.
Additional international dates will be announced over the coming weeks.

Kings of Leon have also already been announced as headlining the F1 British Grand Prix opening concert at Silverstone on July 4, and are heading to Lollapalooza Brazil in March.
‘It was the most enjoyable record I’ve ever been a part of,’ Caleb said of the upcoming Can We Please Have Fun.
Nathan agreed, adding: ‘It’s like we allowed ourselves to be musically vulnerable… I love it when a rock band is not embarrassed to admit that every song doesn’t have to be on 11.’
The album will be released on May 10 while tickets for their BST Hyde Park headline date will go on sale on Wednesday, February 28, at 10am.
Kings of Leon join other previously announced headliners for BST including Andrea Bocelli (July 5), Shania Twain (July 7) and Padam Padam Grammy winner Kylie Minogue (July 13).
