The Newly appointed Commissioner of Police in Adamawa State, CP Dankombo Morris Fallings, has assumed office.
CP Dancombo Fallings officially took over from his predecessor on Wednesday, pledging to place emphasis on community policing as a modern approach to security.
Dancombo is coming in as Adamawa’s 32nd police commissioner, taking over from Afolabo Babalola who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG.
In his takeover speech, the new Adamawa State police commissioner said part of his action plan would be to deal firmly with all acts of criminality ranging from kidnapping, menace of Shila Boys, cattle rustling, to armed robbery.
“Much emphasis will be placed on community policing and community engagement of stakeholders,” he said, explaining that this would be done in tandem with international best practices.
He added that under him, corruption under whatever guise would not be condoned from any police personnel.
