A British woman who hosted a lavish divorce party in Spain paid thousands for it using her first alimony cheque.
The Galentine’s Day party took place at a mansion near Malaga and 20 women attended to celebrate.
Baker Debbie Wingham, 42, said she was commissioned to make the ‘world’s largest Valentine’s cookie’ for the event – and the massive baked creation cost £20,000.
The do also saw the women enjoy a murder mystery party, which included a performance of Cell Block Tango from musical Chicago, afternoon tea, and a photo shoot.
The attendees at La Casa de los Bates in the east of Malaga also got to attend a haute couture dinner party with cocktail pairings.

Everyone got their own ‘swag bag’ at the end of the night worth £10,000 each – blowing childhood party bags containing a packet of sweets and a small toy out of the water.
While the identity of the woman who hosted the party remains unknown, a source said the whole event cost in the region of £250,000.
The source said: ‘Apparently the lady that commissioned the event said it came out of her first alimony payment and was money well spent.’

Party artistic director and baker Debbie, from Doncaster, said the enormous cookie became the centrepiece at the party.
It was made using 30 eggs, 600 edible flowers and a metre of cake lace.
Reaching 1.5 metres wide, the cookie came with a cast sugar heart for each guest.
Not only that, but the guests got to smash open their hearts using a Louis Vuitton axe to find the hidden message inside.
