West Ham United defender Kurt Zouma was mocked by Manchester United’s in-house TV channel over the vile incident where the defender kicked his cat two years ago.

In 2022, a video emerged on social media of Zouma slapping and kicking a cat, later admitting two counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.

He was later sentenced to 180 hours of community service over the incident.

The Hammers skipper has been regularly taunted by opposition supporters since then.

During Sunday’s Premier League match between West Ham and Man Utd, home fans were heard chanting ‘that’s how your cat feels’ when the West Ham star was left on the deck after being caught in the face by United striker Rasmus Hojlund.

Zouma was later involved in an accidental collision with teammate Alphonse Areola, with the goalkeeper taking a heavy blow to the head that led to him being replaced by Lukasz Fabianski at half-time.

During MUTV’s delayed coverage of the fixture, commentator Steve Bower also aimed a swipe at the West Ham star.

Moments after the collision between him and Areola, Bower commented: ‘He can be physical, Zouma. Just ask his cat.’

United secured a comfortable 3-0 win over David Moyes’ side. Rasmus Hojlund opened the scoring with his 10th goal of the season and his fourth in a row in Premier League games.

With Casemiro winning the ball back high up the pitch, the Dane slipped past Nayef Aguerd before drilling a super shot into the far corner.
