This is the moment a man is arrested after he tried to sell his own kidney to pay off his £14,000 gambling debts.
The man, from Kazakhstan, tried to sell his organ to a ‘random internet buyer’, the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.
‘He valued his own kidney at 18 thousand US dollars and tried to sell it to a random buyer via the Internet.
‘The author offered network users his own body, while all agreements regarding the seizure operation had to be organized by the recipient,’ they said.
Police saw the man’s offer online and responded to it.
They pretended to make a ‘deal’ to perform the transplant and pay for it.
‘In Kokshetau, employees of the Organized Crime Control Department detained the suspect while transferring funds,’ the police said.

‘As part of the initial investigative actions, the police established that the man is a native of Aktobe, but lives in the capital.’
The man told police he needed the money to pay off his gambling debts.
A pre-trial investigation is underway.
