Erling Haaland will be in Manchester City’s squad for their Premier League clash against Burnley, Pep Guardiola has confirmed.
The Norwegian forward has missed the last ten games with a foot injury.
Though Haaland resumed training at the start of the month, City have taken caution in order to allow a bone in the striker’s foot to heal properly.
Guardiola said Haaland was ‘on the verge’ of returning before last Friday’s FA Cup win against Tottenham, but the striker was not selected.
The champions take on Vincent Kompany’s City at the Etihad on Wednesday, as they look to apply the pressure on Liverpool.
And Guardiola says Haaland will feature.

‘Apparently Erling will be selected, yeah. The first time he’s back,’ said Guardiola.
‘When we have all the squad we are stronger, definitely and Erling is an important player for us. It’s been two months out – long time – but he feels good.
‘We have training after but tomorrow apparently he will be with all of us.
The comment came after Guardiola confirmed he would be part of the squad.
Manuel Akanji is also set to return to the squad after recovering from a knee complaint.
‘Manu [Akanji] is back,’ he said.
‘He trained yesterday and doesn’t feel anything in his knee, it is really good news.’
