Vladimir Putin has ordered prisons to turn off the heating to force inmates to sign up to fight on the frontline in Ukraine, it has been reported.
Temperatures in some parts of Russia have plummeted to as low as -55°C, but it is all part of the president’s plan to replenish his army with mass murderers, killers and drug traffickers.
Olga Romanova, director of Russia Behind Bars human rights organisation, said the aim is to force convicts to go to war.
‘For this reason, they simply turned off their heating at sub-zero temperatures,’ she told German newspaper BILD.
‘The conditions in prisons should become unbearable so that the men there go to Ukraine.’
More than 100,000 prisoners have been deployed already in Ukraine, according to estimates, including mass murderers, rapists and drug traffickers.
