Huge fight breaks out between waiters and diners over an undercooked biryani

This is the disturbing moment violence broke out over undercooked biryani at an Indian restaurant on New Year’s Eve.

Footage shows staff using what look like broom handles to beat customers who in turn hurled chairs at the as they tried to flee the premises.

The brawl took place at the Grand Hotel in the centre of Hyderabad, the capital of the Indian state of Telangana.

A family complained to staff about the quality of the biryani they were served and said it was undercooked.

They discovered the food had just been reheated and given back to them when they asked for it to be replaced.

An argument broke out before they all began attacking each other in front of the entire restaurant.

The waiters claim customers threw chairs at them.

Meanwhile, they were filmed running out of the restaurant with sticks and hitting people.

The family filed a complaint and the police took down contacts for the waiters and customers involved in the fight.

Six people were also arrested following the incident.
