Primate Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, the Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba, has declared that in 2024 Nigeria will experience a massive breakthrough in the economic sector that would open doors for developmental opportunities.
The eminent cleric who stated this during his New Year message in Abuja, yesterday, said it shall be a year of greater efforts and more purposeful attempts by the government to deal with the insecurity, economic and political challenges of Nigeria.
Ndukuba said that their efforts will bear some fruits, although it will not be able to eliminate completely the challenges that Nigerians are facing.
“Second, there will be an unexpected breakthrough and opportunity that will yield much economic rewards. God will give us this breakthrough. Thirdly, God will once again prove Himself in the lives of His people. Nigeria belongs to God.
“On this first day of the year 2024, the word of the Lord coming to us is that this shall be the year of divine peace of God’s fulfillment and God’s settlement.
“When we talk of peace, it is not just tranquility or quietness, but rather it is the wholesome wellbeing of body, soul and spirit, of both financial and social spiritual total wellbeing, and that is what God want to give to us.
“But this peace, number one, does not rule out challenges and trials, but it is the fact that in the face of challenges and trials we will draw courage from God,” he said.
The primate also appealed to the federal government to address the mass exodus of youths from Nigeria to foreign countries in the recent time, calling on youths to stay back and build a virile nation that can accommodate all.
“And in situation where our young people have no hope to stay in this nation, and they sell property to raise fund, they borrow money and fight to get out of Nigeria and we know it is not bed of roses out there,” he said.
