Victor Osimhen has got Chelsea fans excited after the in-demand striker replied to a fan asking him to move to the Premier League side.
Osimhen’s future has been the subject of plenty of speculation, with a host of Premier League clubs eyeing up a move for the Napoli forward.
It’s understood that both Chelsea and Arsenal have explored the possibility of signing the Nigeria international in the upcoming January transfer window.
Osimhen scored 26 goals last season to help fire Napoli to Serie A glory but recently signed a new contract with the Italian club.
However, the deal is said to include a release clause worth at least €130 million (£112m), according to reports.
And now Chelsea fans have even more reason for optimism after an interaction on social media involving the Nigerian international.
Posting on X, formerly Twitter, one fan wished Osimhen a happy birthday with an old photo of the striker in a Chelsea shirt.

‘Happy birthday Victor Osimhen, pls come and rescue Chelsea soon,’ the message read.
The 25-year-old responded to the post, with a cryptic message of two love heart emojis followed by a praying emoji.

As well as a move for Osimhen, the Blues are also said to be scouting RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko, while their interest in Ivan Toney is also well-documented.
To fund such moves, Todd Boehly and the Chelsea board are considering the sale of several players, including squad player Noni Madueke and influential central midfielder Conor Gallagher.
