Manchester City winger Jack Grealish experienced a burglary while the England star was engaged in his club’s Premier League match against Everton on Wednesday, with the burglars fleeing with £1 million ($1.2 million) worth of jewellery and watches.
During City’s 3-1 victory at the Merseyside, Grealish’s Cheshire mansion in northwest England was targeted by thieves.
Reports on Friday indicated that members of Grealish’s family and his fiancée, Sasha Atwood, were watching the televised match at the residence when they heard a disturbance.
Following the incident, an alarm was raised, prompting an immediate emergency response involving a helicopter, police dogs, and several officers dispatched to the property. However, no suspects were found.
Grealish, 28, was notified about the burglary after the conclusion of City’s match.
A spokeswoman for Cheshire Constabulary stated: “As of now, no arrests have been made, and investigations are ongoing.”
