Vladimir Putin has unleashed his wrath on a rapper who attended a celebrity party with only a sock to cover his penis.

A week has passed since TV presenter Anastasia Ivleeva threw her ‘Almost Naked Party’ at Moscow’s Mutabor nightclub and pro-Kremlin bloggers, politicians and the Orthodox Church are still furious about it.

Footage showed pop stars Filipp Kirkorov and Dima Bilan, as well as TV host and 2018 presidential candidate Ksenia Sobchak, among others, in little to no clothing.

Rapper Vacio, real name Nikolai Vasilyev, arrived wearing only white trainers and a strategically placed sock.

He has been jailed for 15 days and fined for propaganda of ‘non-traditional sexual relations’.

‘F**k it, I will work out read some books haha peace to all,’ Vasilyev wrote on his Telegram channel, confirming the verdict.

But later on Friday, he appeared in a video published by the state-run RIA Novosti news agency apologising for his alleged support of the LGBT+ community.

‘I don’t support the LGBT+ community in any way. I didn’t intend to promote any propaganda. I condemn supporters of the LGBT movement,’ Vasilyev said.

Meanwhile, Ms Ivleeva, who has since issued two tearful apologies, is facing legal action.

At first, the organiser mocked the criticisms, saying with sarcasm that she ‘loves it’ when ‘this country, this world is not accepting of each other.’

Other more famous names have had concerts and lucrative state TV airtime axed, contracts with sponsors revoked, and – in at least one case – are reportedly being cut out of a new film.

Though a private party, it has angered those who support Russia’s war in Ukraine.

It became very public when photographs began flooding social media and later reached an unimpressed Putin.

A video of his spokesperson listening to an explanation from one of the stars who attended has been circulating online.

Baza, a news outlet known for its contacts with the security services, has reported that soldiers fighting in Ukraine were among the first to complain after seeing the footage.
