UFC President White Lauds Israel Adesanya’s Team

Dana White, president of the UFC, has applauded former middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and his entire team, affectionately dubbed the ‘Gangster Camp’, saying: “Those guys are ready to go anytime, anywhere—pick up the phone.”

White’s recognition extends beyond the prowess of individual fighters; it delves into the broader shift in the MMA landscape.

A notable observation was his remark that such camps didn’t exist 10 years ago.

This highlights the evolution in the sport, emphasising the emergence of camps that embody a spirit of readiness and adaptability, qualities essential in the contemporary MMA scene.

The UFC President attributed this transformation to coaching and team dynamics saying, “What I really think is that the coaching and the (attitude) of all these guys (are crucial).”

This underscores the pivotal role of not just individual fighters but the collective mindset of entire teams in the current MMA landscape.

The White praise stems from the team’s instantaneous response to fight opportunities. He noted a significant change in approach, stating, “When you call them and say we got a fight on Saturday, I’m going to go talk to my team, and now the teams are like, ‘Yeah, let’s do this. We’re ready.’”

Looking ahead, the UFC boss expressed his excitement for the upcoming months saying, “We’ve already announced the main events for the first three months of next year, which is incredibly exciting.”
