Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has expressed sympathy towards his Kaduna State counterpart, Senator Uba Sani, and the entire populace of the state following the unintended bomb explosions that resulted in the loss of numerous lives.
Governor Bago, in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, described the tragedy as unfortunate and conveyed his deep sadness.
He stated, “I am deeply saddened by this unfortunate and unpleasant accident. I, on behalf of all the people of Niger State, share in your moment of grief. May Allah comfort you all and grant the departed souls Aljannah Firdausi.”
The governor extended his prayers for the swift recovery of those who sustained injuries in the incident.
He urged the security agencies not to be disheartened by the occurrence but to maintain their resolute stance in combating all forms of criminal activity in the country.
Governor Bago called for a thorough investigation by relevant authorities to prevent future reoccurrences.
The tragic incident occurred recently in Kaduna during the celebration of Maulud by some Muslim Ummah.
