Manchester United playmaker Jadon Sancho is waiting on the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe at the club before deciding his future.

The winger has been sidelined since August after a public falling out with Erik ten Hag.

Sancho accused Erik ten Hag of being a liar after he was dropped from the squad to face Arsenal at the Emirates.

Though Sancho has since removed the social media post, he has refused to apologise to Ten Hag and as such has been left to train individually.

Ten Hag will not consider reinstating Sancho into the first team unless he apologises, and he’s now onto his third month of being ostracised.

But, while it had been expected that Sancho would depart in January, Sky Germany say that Ratcliffe’s arrival could alter his thinking.

The 71-year-old’s 25% stake in the club is expected to be completed next week and the Brit will then take charge of football operations.

Sancho, a £73m signing in 2021, would fetch around £40m in the market now and there’s few clubs that could afford his transfer tag and £300,000-a-week wages.

Ratcliffe could therefore seek to repair the relationship between Sancho and Ten Hag, and the winger will wait to speak to Ratcliffe before making his decision.

Juventus and Dortmund have both shown interest in Sancho.
