The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, says he has saved as much as N110b for the FCT in his three months in office.
Wike stated this on Tuesday when he met with the Estate Developers and Residents’ Associations in the FCDA Conference Hall in Abuja.
Speaking on the prudence he has adopted in the management of finances as the FCT minister, Wike pointed out that the money will be attached to projects to accelerate their completion.
“Three months in office, I can tell you authoritatively, I have saved not less than N110 billion for the FCT and this money will be attached to projects so that people will see indeed that the taxes we are paying are being utilized for the interest of the people,” he said.
The former Rivers State Governor went on to disclose that the Federal Capital Territory would be rolling out its buses and taxi scheme in the next one month.
