FA Cup replays take centre stage before the focus shifts to the European Championship qualifiers and a huge upset could be on the cards in Sussex.
Horsham are bidding to etch their name in football folklore by knocking out League One high-flyers Barnsley.
The two clubs drew 3-3 at Oakwell under the Friday night lights a couple of weeks ago with the seventh-tier Hornets getting a second bite at reaching the second round for only the second time in their 142-year history when Tom Richards grabbed an 81st minute equaliser.
Barnsley should have won quite comfortably but a combination of superb saves from Horsham goalkeeper Lewis Carey and some wasteful finishing kept the non-league club in the competition.
The Tykes had 26 shots compared to just four from the visitors but will travel south knowing they have work to do on the artificial surface at The Camping World Community Stadium.
Horsham play in the Isthmian Premier League and are in mid-table with 19 points from 11 games, some way adrift of leaders Hornchurch but comfortably clear of bottom clubs Concord and Haringey.
Barnsley’s League One promotion hopes suffered a setback when they lost 3-0 at Derby on Saturday and although they remain in play-off contention they are beginning to lose ground on leaders Portsmouth, Oxford and Bolton.
Horsham also slipped to defeat at the weekend when they were beaten 2-0 by Hashtag United. It was their first loss on home soil since the opening game of the season and only their second defeat in 17 matches in all competitions.
Tickets for the replay have sold out and there will be plenty of entertainment for armchair viewers watching on television.
Everyone loves a cup upset and Horsham are worth a minor investment to advance to the second round at 11/1 with Coral. It could be another high-scoring affair and over 6.5 goals is 12/1 with the same firm while Richards is 5/1 with Sky Bet to score for Horsham.
H Kane – Herbie not Harry – is 14/5 with Coral and Ladbrokes to hit the net for the Yorkshire club.
• Derby and Grimsby to lead HT/FT and Peterborough to win outright forms Tuesday’s FA Cup treble.
• Michael van Gerwen is 4/1 across the board to warm up for next month’s PDC World Championship by winning this week’s Grand Slam of Darts.
