Arsenal have suffered a major injury blow with striker Gabriel Jesus ruled out until December, according to reports.
It was believed that Jesus was ‘making good progress’ in his recovery from a hamstring problem and could have featured in Saturday’s upcoming Premier League clash against Newcastle United.
But in a twist, Jesus’ camp are now targeting a return to fitness for the beginning of December, according to The Sun, after he missed the 5-0 win over Sheffield United last time out and tonight’s Carabao Cup fixture against West Ham.
The Brazilian is set to miss the match at Newcastle this weekend as well as a home game against Burnley and a trip to Brentford in the top-flight.
Jesus will also likely be absent from Arsenal’s Champions League fixtures against Sevilla and RC Lens at the Emirates.
The 26-year-old has been in fine form in the Champions League this season, scoring three goals across three appearances.

Jesus is set to make his return when Arsenal host Wolves in the Premier League on December 2.

In his absence, Eddie Nketiah is likely to keep his place in the XI, after registering his first-ever Premier League hat-trick four days ago.
Nketiah, though, could leave Arsenal in the January transfer window if Mikel Arteta gets his wish of signing a new centre forward.
Ivan Toney, the Brentford striker, has been identified as a target but the Bees are seeking around £80m – which may be too much for the north Londoners.
