The Supreme Court has fixed Thursday as date to deliver judgment on the appeal filed against the election victory of President Bola Tinubu.
The presidential candidates of the Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar respectively will on that day know their final fate on their appeals against the verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) that validated the election of President Tinubu.
Ripples Nigeria reports that Obi and Atiku had approached the apex court praying it to set aside the judgment of the PEPC.
The Director of Information at the Supreme Court, Dr. Festus Akande confirmed to journalists on Wednesday that the judgment on the appeals had been scheduled for tomorrow.

He said, “Tomorrow, Thursday, has been fixed for the judgment on the appeals brought by Atiku and Peter Obi.”
It would be recalled that the PEPC had dismissed all the petitions filed by Obi and his party, Atiku and his party and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) against the declaration of President Tinubu as the winner of the February 25, 2023 presidential election, prompting them to approach the Supreme Court.
Atiku also went further to file more grounds for the disqualification of President Tinubu as a candidate in the election, alleging forgery of the Chicago State University (CSU) certificate presented by Tinubu to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
While the apex court will deliver its judgment on Obi and Atiku’s petitions, it had earlier dismissed that of the APM after the party announced a withdrawal of its case.
