Victor Lindelof says he ‘loves’ playing for Manchester United and wants to sign a contract extension at the club.
The Swede joined United from Benfica for a fee of around £31million in 2017 under Jose Mourinho.
Lindelof was handed a new contract under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but that expires at the end of the season.
United have a clause that means they can extend Lindelof’s deal by a further 12 months, and they are expected to do so.
But, despite interest from AC Milan and the fierce competition at centre-back, Lindelof says he wants to remain at United beyond 2025.

Put to him by supporters that the club will extend his deal by 12 months, Lindelof said: ”That’s more than I heard!
‘I have an option [for another] year and there is a deadline for it. When exactly I don’t know. But It feels likely that it will be activated.
‘Absolutely [I want to stay]. I enjoy myself very much. I am entering my seventh year. I feel good and the family feels good. It’s a club that I really like, and that I love to represent.
