NGO Donates Educational Materials To Pupils In FCT

A Non Governmental Organization under the aegis of the Catherine Adeh Foundation (CAF) during the week donated educational materials to LEA Primary School, Jahi 2 community of the Federal Capital Territory as part of its contributions towards ensuring that basic education is accessible to all Nigerian children irrespective of their background.

The founder, Catherine Adeh, said no fewer than 524 pupils of the school received educational materials such as school bags, shoes, school uniforms, and writing materials, adding that the initiative was part of its maiden project “back to school child project” embarked upon to support and encourage the less privileged in the community to return back to school.

According to her,  a child’s education is very important as it will not only build a solid foundation for future responsibilities but will also fine tune the quality of the society that we will see in the nearest future, so if we hope to see a developed and responsible society tomorrow, we need to educate our children today.

Adeh reiterated the commitment of CAF towards  serving the needy and restoring hope to the hopeless communities while encouraging parents and care givers not to give up on their wards, but should try their best to ensure that their children have access to basic education.

She also called on government, NGOs to create environments where the right of children to basic education will be realized.
