Ibrahim Kashim Imam: 5 things to know about new FERMA chairman

President Bola Tinubu on Friday appointed Imam Ibrahim Kashim Imam as the chairman of the governing board of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).

Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, who made the announcement in a statement, also said that the president appointed Chukwuemeka Agbasi as FERMA’s managing director.

According to the statement, Kashim Imam’s appointment is for a renewable term of four years, in accordance with Section 2(3) of the FERMA Amendment Act, 2007.

1. Kashim Imam was born on December 27, 1998.

2. He graduated from Brighton University with a first-class degree in Mechanical Engineering.

3. Kashim Imam earned his MSc in Engineering Business Management from Brighton University

4. He was a member of the 2022 batch of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

5. He is the son of Mutawalli Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, the current chairman of TETFUND.
