Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule on Friday visited the 177 Guards Battalion in Keffi to meet with and commend the officers for their prompt action in rescuing the four abducted students of Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
Governor Sule also had an interactive session with the rescued students and their parents.
The governor expressed appreciation for the quick and decisive efforts of the battalion that led to the successful rescue of the students.
Sule reiterated the importance of collaboration and support of his government to security agencies in ensuring the safety of Nasarawa people.
The governor reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with security agencies in the state to enhance the security in Nasarawa State.
He urged the university management to the security of its students a priority.
DAILY POST had reported that the students, who were abdiucted earlier in the week, have been released and were at 177 Guards Battalion Headquarters in Keffi.
The rescued students have since been reunited with their families.
