Manchester City defender Kyle Walker will escape punishment following an altercation with an Arsenal coach following the side’s defeat at the Emirates.

Walker was at the forefront of a group of City players that confronted Nicolas Jover, Arsenal’s set piece coach, at the tunnel at full time.

Jover, who worked at City for two years between 2019 and 2021, gestured towards Walker as the City team made their way to the tunnel.

The right-back was clearly aggravated and had to be held back by team-mates as he confronted Jover.

Erling Haaland was similarly dismayed, and had to be held back also.

It came after Gabriel Martinelli’s late winner, which raised tensions between the two title rivals.

But despite the altercation, the BBC report Walker will face no punishment for his actions.

The victory put Arsenal joint-top of the Premier League alongside local rivals Tottenham.

City trail the pair by two points as the Premier League heads into the second international break of the season.
