Benue State Governor, Rev Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has congratulated teachers on the World Teachers Day, celebrated on October 5th of every year.
Alia described teachers as dedicated educators who play a crucial role in shaping the minds of students.
This was contained in a statement distributed to journalists in Makurdi by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor, Sir Tersoo Kula .
“Let us take a moment to express our gratitude and appreciation for the hard work and dedication of teachers everywhere.
“They play a pivotal role in shaping not only academic growth, but also the character development of their students.
“Their unwavering commitment to excellence ensures that each student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
“Thank you, teachers, for your tireless efforts in making the world a better place through education,” the governor stated.
He said his administration will continue to create an environment where teachers are respected and valued, adding that their welfare will continue to be made a priority by the current administration to enable them excel in their vital role of building a stronger, more prosperous, and more inclusive society for the future.
