Who Cares Wins Awards 2023 LIVE — David Beckham and Rishi Sunak celebrate inspirational NHS heroes in touching ceremony

THE Sun’s annual Who Cares Wins Awards returned to C4 this weekend and we shone a light on the brave and exceptional healthcare heroes of the NHS.

Running annually, the ceremony celebrates the nation’s healthcare workers and volunteers who have gone above and beyond – and this year it’s an even more special occasion as the NHS celebrates 75 years.

Presenter Davina McCall hosted and, alongside the likes of James Corden, Sir Trevor McDonald Gordon Ramsay and Denise Van Outen, helped to make it a night to remember for those attending.

At one point, presenting an award to the Welsh Ambulance Wish Service, PM Rishi Sunak described NHS workers’ dedication to their work as “inspiring” – and hailed their commitment to going the extra mile, even when not on shift.

Our panel of judges included The Sun’s Editor-in-Chief Victoria Newton, TV presenter Christine Lampard, Paralympic champ Ellie Simmonds and boxing champ Anthony Joshua.
