Sofyan Amrabat is among the players who could be fit to return for Manchester United on Saturday against Burnley.

The Morocco international has not featured for the club since sealing his deadline day move from Fiorentina, sidelined with a knock.

He has been among a long list of injury absentees at Old Trafford with Erik ten Hag without 10 members of his squad on Wednesday against Bayern Munich with Jadon Sancho and Antony also unavailable.

Mason Mount meanwhile has missed the last four games after picking up a knock in the defeat to Tottenham.

Raphael Varane became another casualty during the win over Nottingham Forest at the end of August with Harry Maguire joining them this week.

While Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Amad Diallo remain sidelined with Kobbie Mainoo training individually, ten Hag is hopeful of his injury woes easing ahead of the trip to Turf Moor.

‘Yeah, maybe as you say Harry Maguire,’ ten Hag said.

‘We will see better after training. But Varane will train, we will see. Amrabat, he will train, we will see.

‘Mount, as well, but they all didn’t play for short or longer term. Varane, obviously, was the shortest [time] out.’

Sancho meanwhile continues to train alone at Carrington following his falling out with the manager, publicly challenging ten Hag after being dropped for the defeat to Arsenal earlier this month.

Ten Hag is understood to have demanded an apology from the winger with Sancho refusing to do so.

The former Borussia Dortmund star will not be involved against Burnley with ten Hag warning Sancho’s future is now in his own hands amid reports United well sell him in January.

Asked if Sancho still has a future at United, ten Hag said: ‘It depends on him. For the rest, we are preparing for Burnley, and that has all our focus. He will not be in the squad.’
