Benue State governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has disclosed that the Federal Government has approved the construction and rehabilitation of federal roads in the state.
The governor disclosed this in Makurdi on Friday, in a statement by his Çhief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula .
Alia assured of the construction and rehabilitation of more road networks across the state under his leadership.
According to the governor, the federal roads to be rehabilitated in the state are Aliade-Gboko- Yandev , Gboko- Lessel- Ihugh- Tse Mker and Oju-Otukpo roads
Kulas, in the statement, said the governor is also in regular contact with the Federal Government for speedy completion of the Makurdi-Ugbema road, as well as the rehabilitation of some failed portions of the Katsina-Ala-Vandeikya- Ogoja road.
According to him, “Apart from the ongoing construction of roads/streets within Makurdi metropolis, some other metropolis in the state including, Gboko, Otukpo and Katsina-Ala will soon receive similar attention adding that opening of rural roads is also prominently featured in the plans.”
Kula added that Alia called for more support for his administration, as well as the President Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government.
