The 22-year-old fell to the floor holding his calf after a failed Cruyff turn as he tried to get past Three Lions defender Kyle Walker.
In the first half, Mudryk also required medical treatment following a challenge from Marcus Rashford.
Mudryk was able to continue after that but the calf problem he sustained in the second half proved to be too much as he was subbed off and replaced.
Chelsea already have a lengthy injury list which includes the likes of Christopher Nkunku, Reece James, Wesley Fofana, Carney Chukwuemeka and Trevoh Chalobah.
Losing Mudryk would be a fresh blow for Mauricio Pochettino despite the Ukrainian’s struggles at Stamford Bridge since his huge £88.5m transfer.
The Chelsea winger has made 20 appearances for the west Londoners to date, registering two assists, and he is still waiting to score his first goal for the Blues.
The Blues lost to Nottingham Forest in their last match and return to action on Sunday as they travel to face AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League.
