JUST-IN: I’m Still A ‘PDP Member’ In APC Gov’t, Says Wike

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has claimed that he remained a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) serving in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)-led federal government.

Wike disclosed this on Channels TV’s current affairs programme, ‘Politics Today’, on Wednesday night monitored by our correspondent.

He reiterated that he’s an “unrepentant” member of the PDP working with President Bola Tinubu to achieve his ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda.

Wike also revealed that PDP governors wrote letters to President Tinubu, nominating their allies for appointment by the APC government at the centre.

He maintained that he obtained the permission of the PDP before accepting the APC ministerial appointment.

Wike, however, specifically mentioned that he wrote the PDP leaderships at the South-South zonal and Rivers State levels only, who in turn asked him to accept the ministerial appointment.
