Nigerian sprinter, Alaba Akintola, in his debut at the World Athletics Championships, secured a spot in the Men’s 200m Semi-final with an automatic qualification. Originally finishing fourth, Akintola moved up to third place after France’s Ryan Zeze was disqualified. Zeze was disqualified for a false start but chose to run under protest. Oregon 2022 Silver
