STUART BROAD is outright favourite to be crowned BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2023.
That’s according to bookmakers Betfair, who’ve updated their betting markets ahead of the 70th annual awards ceremony, which takes place on 20th December.

Broad ended his glittering career by bowling England to another dramatic victory in the fifth Test against Australia. The 37-year-old took the last two wickets to leave a memorable Ashes series level at 2-2.
Broad finished his career having taken 602 wickets in 167 Tests, making him the second most successful paceman in Test history behind team-mate James Anderson.

Dettori, 52, will hang up his riding boots after the Breeders Cup in November this year, putting an end to his glittering 35-year career.
The Italian claimed a Group 1 double at Epsom in June, and took his tally of Royal Ascot winners to a colossal 81 at this year’s festival.
If successful, Dettori would become the first jockey to win the award since Sir Anthony McCoy fended off Phil Taylor and Jessica Ennis in 2010.
England cricket captain Ben Stokes is available at 10/1.
Atrocious weather denied Stokes and co. a chance to complete a remarkable turnaround, but both he and Brendon McCullum have been credited with changing the face of Test cricket since their arrivals.
Stokes will also be part of England’s World Cup squad after reversing his decision to retire from one-day international cricket. England will defend the trophy in India in October and November having famously won it on home soil four years ago.
Zharnel Hughes is a newcomer to the betting market at 16/1 having smashed the British 200m record in front of a sell-out 50,000 crowd at the London Diamond League.
It is the second record Hughes has broken this season, having taken Linford Christie’s 30-year-old British record for the 100m with a 9.83s in June.
