CONOR MCGREGOR treated his Ultimate Fighter stars to the ultimate night in Las Vegas.

The Irishman’s second stint on the MMA reality show came to an end on Tuesday night, as his semi-finalist, Rico DiSciullo, suffered a first-round submission defeat against Cody Gibson.

But despite the disappointing season, McGregor chose to treat his team with a steak dinner at a fancy Las Vegas restaurant.

Footage from the season finale shows that everybody was grateful for the efforts of Team McGregor, as fighter Carlos Vela delivered a heart-warming speech.

Vela said: “The first thing we want to do is thank the coaches.

“We all talk about this daily, how grateful we are to have you guys here.

“Then we have Conor. My friend, you have taught us from day one what a humble person, which we all are, has done in the journey of martial arts. That’s incredible!

“So, cheers to you. Thank you for this [food]. Thank you for this opportunity.”

McGregor responded by expressing his ‘love’ for the team before standing up and revealing they would be heading to the casino.

Last week, the Irishman overcame potential opponent and rival coach Michael Chandler in the Coaches’ Challenge on the MMA reality series.

He managed to pocket himself $10,000 after winning a bet which saw him lay in an ice bath longer than his fierce rival.

McGregor said: “As you know we won the coach’s challenge last week and got 15-ton.

“So, as a gift from me to yourselves, I’ll give you a thousand dollars each of chips.”

The 35-year-old – who topped Forbes’ list of rich athletes in 2021- then began handing out chips to his elated team before they all headed off to the casino.

Earlier this week, McGregor was pictured leading a busload of women back to his hotel after watching Anthony Joshua’s victory over Robert Helenius.

TUF 31 will conclude on Saturday night when the bantamweight and lightweight finalists square off during UFC 292 at Boston’s TD Garden.

After that, all that is left is for the coaches to finally fight each other.

McGregor recently told talkSPORT he will face Chandler at UFC 296 on December 16, even though he has an ongoing issue with USADA – the UFC’s drug testing body.

The Irishman has been out of action since July 2021 after he broke his leg in the first round against Dustin Poirier.
