ENGLAND boss Sarina Wiegman gave a brilliant response when asked how her side overcame Australia to reach the Women’s World Cup final.
The Lionesses booked their place in Sunday’s showdown with Spain after beating the hosts 3-1 in Sydney.

It is Wiegman’s second successive World Cup final after she led the Netherlands to a clash with the USA in 2019 – before they suffered a 2-0 defeat.
The 53-year-old, who took over from Phil Neville in 2021, has also won the Euros with both the Netherlands and England – reaching the final of all four international tournaments she has coached in.
Yet despite her international pedigree, she remains humble following another epic victory.
Speaking to BBC Sport, the Dutchwoman was asked: “What enabled you to edge the game?”
At first, she did not understand as she simply replied: “What?”
When the question was then repeated, she said: “Well we scored three goals – that was a help.”
Football fans loved her straightforward response to the enquiry and took to social media to praise her.
One said: “Most honest answer from a manager ever.”

Hailing Wiegman for her remarkable record at major tournaments, one fan said: “Sarina Wiegman is the best coach in women’s football right now. Great respect for her work!”

England fans celebrated their World Cup semi-final victory in pubs and bars up and down the country.
And it promises to be an even bigger event on Sunday when the Lionesses kick off against Spain at 11am BST.
