Kylian Mbappe transfer news odds: PSG price SLASHED after contract U-turn, Real Madrid drift to 4/1

KYLIAN MBAPPE is staying at Paris Saint-Germain.

That’s according to bookmakers Sky Bet, who’ve priced the French superstar at 1/7 to remain a PSG player beyond September’s transfer deadline.

It looked likely that Mbappe had played his last game for PSG after announcing that he wouldn’t extend his contract beyond June 2024.

It was believed that Mbappe had already agreed terms with Real Madrid ahead of a free transfer to the Bernabeu next year.

As a result, Mbappe was banished from the first-team squad and omitted for the club’s goalless draw with Lorient in Ligue 1 on Saturday.

PSG gave also Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal permission to talk to the player after accepting a world-record £259m bid, and removed a giant mural at the Parc des Princes.

But things have changed.

Mbappe has returned to first-team training under manager Luis Enrique after positive talks with the PSG hierarchy.

PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been adamant he would not let the striker leave for nothing, and it appears a loose agreement is in place for Mbappe to sign a one-year extension.

That would mean Real Madrid would have to pay a sizeable fee next summer.

PSG said: “Following very constructive and positive discussions between Paris St-Germain and Kylian Mbappe before the PSG – Lorient game, the player has been reinstated into the first team training squad this morning.”

In the unlikely event of yet another U-turn, Real Madrid are available at 4/1 to sign Mbappe before the deadline in September.

Any Saudi Pro League club are offered at 20/1, ahead of Any MLS club at 25/1.

Barcelona and Chelsea are locked together at 25/1, ahead of 33/1 duo Manchester United and Liverpool, with Manchester City (40/1), Arsenal (50/1) and Newcastle (50/1) yet further behind.

With Mbappe’s future seemingly assured, PSG have agreed a deal to sell Brazil forward Neymar to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal for approximately £77million, subject to a medical and all the necessary paperwork.
