Luis Diaz silenced Stamford Bridge on 18 minutes with a fine finish after being teed up by Mo Salah.

The Egyptian then had a goal overturned as VAR came to the rescue of Chelsea.

But the Blues battled back and got themselves on level terms when debutant Axel Disasi levelled from close-range.

Ben Chilwell then produced a composed finish seconds later as he appeared to have put the hosts in front.

However, another VAR check showed that he had strayed offside as his strike was chalked off.
