LEEDS have expressed an interest in signing Manchester United defender Brandon Williams, according to reports.

Williams, 22, was limited to just one senior appearance for the Red Devils last season.

An injury kept him out of action for the first half of the campaign, but he struggled to break back into Erik ten Hag‘s squad after recovering.

And now he could be set for a move away from Old Trafford.

According to The Independent, Williams has emerged as a top transfer target for Leeds.

Man Utd would prefer to let players leave on a permanent basis rather than a loan at this stage of the window as Ten Hag looks to rebuild his squad.

Club chiefs are understood to be willing to sell the defender this summer.

Williams spent the 2021-22 campaign on loan at Norwich, where he briefly worked with new Leeds boss Daniel Farke.

Farke is said to be eager to reunite with the former loanee.

Williams furiously swore at United team-mate Tom Heaton during a pre-season match against Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.

The goalkeeper blamed the defender after the Red Devils conceded two goals in quick succession.

But Williams was having none of it and hit back at Heaton, shouting: “My fault? It was your f*** up!”
